873 Deutz shut off solenoid

Hi folks, first post. Can someone show me a picture of the location of the shut off solenoid. Machine will not shut off, have to do it manualy. I need to replace the unit. Also can these be rebuit? Bobcat wants $400.00 for a new one. Any other places to purchase this. Thanks, Greens
 
dont about after market but if get the bobcat one (read the instructions) YOU MIGHT HAVE TO RELOCATE A few wires if you dont you will be sad 400 bucks poof up in smoke!!

thanks for the info. OldMachinist it appears there is no dealer east of Manitoba. I'll pick one up from the Robcat Dealer. sstec thanks for the pictures. Thats where I thought it would be. Looks like I will pick up an O ring. Greens

I had the Deutz dealer ship one to me. Have you thought about that route? It was considerably cheaper than going to Bobcat.

is there a trick to taking this thing off. undid 2 bolts, disconnected wiring harness, pulls free for about an inch, then gets caught up. is something still attached.????????

not to bother. solenoid came out with a heavy screw driver and a little twist. Lets see how this puppies going to go back in.

I know there's a procedure to follow when installing. Something about holding the rack one way so that the RPM's are right. If not done right the engine can overspeed. Did the new one have any instructions with it?

Picking up the new solenoid today. The old one had a sticker on it that said, when installing solenoid make sure the stop lever is in the stop position. (manual stop lever) I take it thats what you mean when refering to "rack"

Yes pulling the lever to stop moves the rack. You'll also have to remember which way you twisted it to come out. It has to go in and then be turned to line up.

I picked up the solenoid yesterday. They forgot to include the O ring..........still waiting.
