863 Bobcat traction lock, control valve, and seat light are off.

At start-up all lights on the BICS light up for a second and go out but when I lower the seat-bar the seat-bar lights up with no other lights on except the power light. When I go to operate; the traction locks and the lift/tilt locks-up. The traction override allows me to only move the bobcat. I took the seat sensor apart and cleaned, moved the magnet about without any luck. Can a bad seat sensor cause both the traction and control valve lights not to work? I have checked the brake circuit, fuses and relay, also took the BICS out and inspected the board and checked the harness for shorts all connections looked clean. I used ohms on all the circuits and found nothing obvious. I’m thinking its ether a bad BICS or a Bad seat sensor. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

If you still have a seat switch, install the "push to operate" kit and get rid the seat switch.

Can a bad seat sensor cause both the traction and control valve lights not to work?

I fixed it by running a wire from the control valve to the ignition terminal on the key switch and wired a toggle switch into the wire and installed it to the console. I then bolted a ground wire to the cab from the control valve. I can lock up the bucket while the engine is running by flipping the toggle switch. It works fine. You have to remember to push the traction lock button and flip the toggle switch if you are exiting the bobcat while the engine is running. Or just turn the bobcat off each time exiting.
