I had the aux spool end cap and springs off of the front of the control valve while the engine was running. I could move the rod back and forth and it would bog down a little, the spool moves freely. I could move the toggle switchside to side it would try to push the spool but I could hold it with my thumb, oil would come out of the front. Seems like everything is working, but it won't move the spool

In all my years of working with pneumatic spool valves, I never found one that could be "cleaned" and would operate differently from when it failed. They are so tightly toleranced, a spec of contamination was a failure. Hydraulics might be more tolerant with 30 times the pressure, but it sounds like there's a restriction or a free flow somewhere in the system.

It's weird, the spool valve moves freely and oil start to pump when I move the thumb switch with the forward cap and spring removed, but it must not have enough pressure to move the spool. Still waiting on a guage to test charge pressure
