whats up guys? I am new to the forum but I have been following it for months. I recently picked up a "well-loved" 763 from a local guy here in central FL. He let me know that there was a hand control issue causing it to occasionally stop allowing the lift and tilt functions to stop working. His advice was to disconnect the battery for 20-30 minutes and come back and get back after it. Wouldnt you know, that stopped working after I took possession miraculously. Here is what its doing and what I have done. Lift works, once you attempt to drop bucket the ACS light comes on and all function of lift and tilt is gone until a restart Tilt works fine no problem at all Swapped the two actuator plugs, and lift and dropped worked fine, and tilt was out. I called 3 different dealers and they all recommended an actuator replacement (which now sells for 700$ shipped!). Ordered the part, installed it, no joy. Next I ordered the AHC lift valve (one inside the joystick) and installed it. No change I am at the end of my rope here on this one and I am running out of choices other than to sell it and move on or even worse, call the dealer to have them come out and diagnose it. Anyone have any input?

Sounds like the controller is bad but you will need to troubleshoot before replacing it. You have switched and replaced actuators, so rule those out You have ruled out the joysticks I have been down this road, it ended up being the controller at $1300 from bobcat, called everywhere across the country and couldnt get a used one. To test this, I hooked my multimeter up to the red/black wires going into the actuator, while everything was connected. This is the motor current, should be 12V + and -. I could only get 12V pos to the motor, the controller would not reverse the polarity to change direction of the actuator, triggering the fault as the potentiometer signal (from the actuator) was not changing. Its a little tricky to do this troubleshooting, I had to open up the connectors, add hook paperclips to the wires of interest, and alligator clips to those. I had the metal controller box, I am assuming you have the same? Others have posted about broken wires at the bottom of the joysticks causing similar issues, I ruled this out by checking the signal voltage of the joysticks at the controller to make sure they were getting the correct inputs, also with continuity tests.
