Hey guys, lookin to add an older wheel machine. T590 has been great for heavier clearin on my property but its just too wide for some of the residential backyard jobs me n a buddy have been takin on. tight gates, turf work, driveway prep. i also hate tearin up nice lawns and spinnin tracks on concrete.
Budget is around 12-15k. I do all my own wrenchin so i dont want somethin that needs a dealer laptop just to reset a sensor code every time it hiccups.
Been eyein two options locally, a late 90s 763 with the kubota and manual controls, and an early 2000s S175 or S185 with vertical lift. vertical lift would be nice for loadin dump trailers but Im worried about the extra electronics on the S-series bein a pain down the road.
for guys that have run both: is the vertical lift really worth the extra electrical headache over a bone simple 763? hows aftermarket parts availability on these older ones nowadays, and any known weak spots to check on inspection? any input would be appreciated.
