Monday went to Bobcat dealer and showed the parts guy the ujoint. Parts man agreed that it looked like the part failed. Ordered me a new one to be in Tuesday. Tuesday, I get new ujoint at no charge and he says he will check with the girl in the warranty department about the collateral damage that it caused (broken fan blades and leaking radiator) when it broke into pieces and slung around the shroud and call me. Wednesday, I hear nothing from them. Thurday, talk to the parts guy and he says he has made a mistake and that I need to pay for the new u-joint and I will be reimbursed when Bobcat reimburses them. ( Interesting warranty policy) Still no word from Bobcat on collateral damage. Friday, Parts man has spoke to Bobcat and they say there is no way the part could fail. Bobcat corporate guy will be in town in the next 2 -3 weeks and will be happy to show me how I installed it wrong and by the way you need to come in and pay for the new u-joint. Is Bobcat always this difficult to deal with? There are pictures of this ujoint in the media area if anyone would like to view.
