I think it's time for me to replace the hose inside my 743 fuel tank (air in the fuel line). The hose my Bobcat dealer had for this (from the parts list) was a semi-clear plastic hose that had a kind of rubbery feel. Problem was that he didn't have enough of it to do the job. Does it matter? Can I use any fuel hose or is that stuff the best hose for the job? I did get a replacement filter for the submerged end and a new rubber bushing for the 90 deg fitting at the top of the tank. Jim

When I was working at the dealership we used standard fuel line from goodyear and we have never had any problems with it.

I too used quality fuel hose, its been in the tank for 3 or so years, no issues so far. If it causes trouble in a few years, its really not hard to replace any way.
