Help Support SkidSteer Forum:

Did they bench test the motors? Could it be that the motor was assembled incorrectly?
In an earlier post he said he swapped drive motors and the problem remained.
4,500 PSI from the drive pump is about right.
The only thing left really is the chaincase/gearbox......

Sounds like you have a oil blockage to the right side and it's starving of oil.Is there any air in the hydraulic tank(foamy oil from cavitation)

all lines were flushed. I have the the covers off and again the chain and sprockets look good. flushed and cleaned the tank. I have no play in the bearings from inside the tank, the ones with the double sprockets comeing out of the gearcase. Before I pull this , is there a way to test the gearcase? I dont want to pull it if I dont have too.

dude bee dicking with this for awhile huh. if ive read this thread correctly, all other possible causes have been checked. breaking chains aint fun, and you probally dont have tools to re crimp. so, a start from top. and redo all tests but first let us redcribe symptons, as in no drive right side one direction, or no drive right side both directions. stat has been checked, motor has been checked . chains have been checked, sprockets checked, the only thing we have not looked is drive motor carrier, so how do we check this, me as a pro would(after verifing all above would suck it up, and bench carrier, yea it sucks but where else do you go.now being a cyncial type of guy. i would first throw all previous rhetoric out and start again, as in drive it feel it smell it. from there i could disceren symptons ,not that i dont trust other repair facillitys but that i really dont trust them,,ive been burned in past , as regan said trust but verify.. as in testing carrier, pull motor break chains. shouldnt spin by hand(due to preload, but should be able to move whith channel locks, if not bench it

OK problem solved!! I machined a piece of flat stock to fit in the splines of the gearcase, with this now locked I tryed to spin the wheels and could not, so gearcase is good. I installed motor, and pump. While putting the unit all back together, I pulled all lines and hose. I had flushed fluid thru them befor, but this time I pulled them. Sure enough on one of the lines that go's to the right motor had blockage, fluid would go thru but not a fish tape. I forced out a piece of yellow plastic. Installed all lines, filled machine with oil and problem solved. Thanks to all of you who helped.

Glad it's fixed, but where on earth did the obstruction come from?
With the pressure the pump produces, i woul dhave expected it to have been pushed all around the place.
*fingers crossed* that it is fixed for good!

thank you for respondining. with problem solved post, thats huge it means we are not wasting our time here, glad to be of help, as to yellow plastic yellow or orange is the colour of piston seal in cyls, symptons should be cyl drift< motor seals are white or black, unless you intouced it thru hyd fill, has to be in lift or tilt,(or possibly attachment,

Dont know where it came from, I have never had this unit apart, thinking it is from prev. owner. I have changed and added oil to the system, but always thru a screened funel. But again thanks to all who helped me thru this.

I have seen the centers of the little plastic caps/plugs (that they put on new hydraulic hose/lines/fittings for shipping) get punched out and end up in systems in the past. Real nuisance, pull your hair out trying to find them. Glad you found yours!!

I'm the same way, If you got it figured out and fixed, please let us know. Makes all of mechanic types sleep better at night :) and its a good reference for others.
