Found what a guy claims to be, a barely used 6 ft bobcat clam or 4 way bucket. Hes asking $800 and I'm very interested. Just wondering how my machine would handle it, a 743. It seems a alot of them are built very heavy and was thinking it might be too much to pick up a full bucket of a heavy material. I asked him how much he thought it weighs and didnt think much more than a regular 6 ft bucket. Any thoughts?

A 4-in-1 bucket probably weighs twice as much as a regular bucket. That being said, I run a 68" 4-1 bucket on a 185 with no problems.

They do weigh more, the 743 will handle it with ease. I have one on my 743, never been an issue. Sure, it does weigh more but the benefits sure do out weigh the down falls.
I'm sure you'll love it.

For 800 bucks you could hardly go wrong. If you don't like it throw it up on ebay and you could probably double your money. Most of the time those things wind up selling for around 2k.

Ended up buying it. It is a 74", and he wasnt kidding, it hasnt been used much. Ended up paying $675 for it. The 743 knows its up there, its heavy! Photobucket

It may be heavier, but i'm sure you'll love what it can do that a standard bucket can't.
Nice work on the price too.
