632 carb soleniod

I have a problem with my 632 carb and the electrical solenoid valve on the back of it. After reading a previous thread on this and thinking about it I made a plug for the hole and took it off completely. will install and try tomorrow. Has anyone else done this and did it work out o.k. or do I have to hunt for another solenoid? thanks

I plugged that soleniod on my 642 and it did not help . I beleive that soleniod slides in the main jet after the key is shut off to prevent dieseling.I could not get my 642 to run off choke after doing everything.
