610 lift arm pedal

I just purchased a 610 for under $2000.00 and aside from needing the carb cleaned out and a good greasing I notice that the lift arm pedal has to be pushed down extremely far before the arms will lift. Is this adjustable or is there likely a problem with the hydraulic distribution system? Thanks for your help as I am new to these and lack the knowledge.

Adjustments are made in the pedal linkage….both ends of linkage rod are threaded….can take LOTS of WD40 to loosen the nuts however. ;-)

I sound like a busted record saying this....but are you absolutely sure you have enough oil in the crankcase.
Heres some stuff that may be handy...

Above, I meant to say chaincase not crankcase.
