Hi everyone first time on here i have bought a skidsteer a few questions it has a Kubota D950 engine. 1. Where do i get a wiring diagram as none of the guages work 2. How do i drain the hydraulic oil out of the system as its contaminated with water 3. In straight lines its lovley and quiet turning tight there is a terrible whining noise from the hydraulics is that usual? 4. Anything in particular i need to look out for that gives trouble 5. An honest opinion if this small machine is a good or bad model in the Bobcat product lineup Many thanks for any help that may be offerd.

the older machines are just loud and jerky when they turn. but if it's really bad you might have a clogged filter. some have a bronze filter under the seat. others know more than i do.

Post the machine serial number and add a email address to your profile then I can send you the wiring diagram and oil drain procedure.

Thank you I will look again unfortunately I think the plate is missing is the number stamped anywhere else?

There is supposed to be a hidden serial number stamped on the chaincase but its only pin punched and very hard to find most times.
Thanks you sure know a lot about bobcats. There are four holes but no plate where you said. Is the pinpunched number on the front or rear? Thanks.

On some models its around where I pointed the red arrow but I've heard other owners have found it on one of the sides. Only Bobcat knows where they put it and won't tell anyone but law enforcement where it is. It's hidden so that it can't be easily ground off when a machine is stolen. Most police agencies will confiscate a skid steer that doesn't have a serial number plate and won't let you have it back until you prove its not stolen.

When you call your Bobcat "lovley"? (actually LOVELY) you have a bigger problem than not having a service manual!!
