Hi, im new to the forum but have read threads before joining. I have an 80 or 81 Bobcat 530 with a left drive problem. It seems to be stuck forward. What i mean is that the left side wants to drive continuously forward. Its not stuck all the way forward but to get it to stop you have to pull the lever all the way back. I was told it could be the valves on the hydraulic manifold or pump, not sure what it is called. Im just trying to figure out where to start. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm assuming it is hydrostatic drive, i'd check all linkages first, all the way back to the pump. It soulnds like something is loose.

It is. Checked linkages and all seems good
Looking at the side of the pump, when you move the stick back and forth, the pin in the middle moves with it? it should have a key and keyway to lock it in place, i can't see there being enough force to sheer it though.
Ensure it moves the same amount as the other side taht is working does.

I will check that out. It might be a few days since its not inside and I don't get home until dark. Thanks for the info
