257B Could really use some help

In my previous post I called the detent (indent). I cannot get my blade to float, the owners manual says to place the boom in the detent. Where is this position. I can get the arms to float only about 1/2". I need to push snow not dig a new driveway. I would assume that the detent would be all the way down on the boom. A response would be appreciated.

I have a 262c book says all down and hit the trigger and it should float. Read it in the operator manual a while back. Cant say that i have ever used it but give her a try. Hope that helps ya.
