Brake will not unlock when below freezing. No problems in summer. Can there be water freezing in a hydraulic line going to the brake assembly? When locked and running for a while (up to 2 hours) sometimes will become free with a loud bang, sounding like a pin or something is breaking. After using the parking brake will engage normally.
No issues when machine is in a warm building.

Check your travel lock solenoid, inspect the wiring on the solenoid
The brakes lock and unlock fine in above freezing temperatures.
The right brake will not unlock in freezing temperatures. Can water be in the line on the right side at the end of the hydraulic circuit at the brake?
Or something in the brake assembly?

I would call up John deere and ask them if they had any recalls with drive motors.

Here at my dealership where I work we had an issue with break failure on the ssv75.

We replace the entire motor but its just a bad oring that failed inside the motor

Mine is doing the same thing. Were you able to identify cause?

well not sure what the original OP solution was
but I know on many brake designs, water can certainly get into some systems and in below freezing temps cause brakes to stay locked
same with water getting into chain cases and freezing up chains

ice is powerful stuff
and if your machine doesn;'t have issues when in a warm garage or warm weather but only hen below freezing, it sounds like a most likely issue to me!

That happens with my 763 and there was a lot of water in the chain case. An electric solenoid drives my brake so that made sense. It unlocks easier now but still problematic. It might be the switch or wiring. Maybe the solenoid is weak but it look pretty new.

Mine is also doing the exact same thing. JD240
I changed oil in the chain case ( no water present.
I suspect water in the brake solenoid or hose to solenoid.
The oil supply stops at solenoid. I believe the oil Tees at the brake assembly.
