2042 Auxiliary Functions

I am building a grapple for my skid steer and ha e been trying to figure out how the auxiliary is activated. I have a mode switch on my upper panel, but it is for an external application such as a backhoe attachment. I'm not sure if the pedals are supposed to be free to move in normal operation, but neither side is. Any options would be helpful.
