Hey guys. I have a 08 bobcat s250. It just had a complete engine rebuild minus wiring and maybe that's the issue? I just got everything all back together with a heavy duty diesel mechanic. Now I'm throwing a 06-13 code (no speed sensor) I bought a brand new speed sensor and hooked it up according to manual......nothing and still coding the same error. I'm at a loss. Now what?? Can I check it electrically?

Trace the wiring and make sure all of the connections are good. The wiring harnesses are a pain to diagnose. Sometimes the wires corrode right at the base of the pins. Or you could have a rub through or rodent damage. Or just a bad connection.

You may have inadvertently pulled a wire when removing or installing the engine.

Also, it never hurts to check and clean all of the fuse connections.

For sure. I retraced the entire wiring. Everything is plugged in and seems to be pretty clean and no corrosion. So potentially fuse damage?

Like I said wiring harnesses suck. I hate when these machines have electrical problems. Sometimes the only way to find it is to remove the harnesses and check them thouroghly.

Do check all of the fuses. Clean the connections with a connectivity cleaner and make sure that there isn't any corrosion. Those fuse covers get moisture in them and wreak havoc on the wiring.

If you accidentally stretched or pinched a wire with the removal and install of the engine there could be a brake inside the harness. The next step would be to try and check the speed sensor wires for continuity. The problem with this is figuring out the wires at the other end of the harness.

Good luck
