2007 S250 18-06 error code

Hi again,

Getting tired of fixing one prob and another one appearing. Yesterday during this code came up 18-06, looked it up and it says "spool lock coil". But when the engine is cold this code doesnt come up. Any ideas and where is this coil located? Need to get me a repair manual.

This code is for the lift and tilt spool locks on the control valve. I am guessing that you have a bad coil or a short in the harness. Most likely once the coil heats up, it is shorting out. If you get the code to come up again disconnect one of the coils and cycle the key. If the code goes away then that is the one that is bad.

Hey revisiting this very old thread, I am helping a friend with his 763 and he is having this same issue. Code 18-06 and the pedals are locked out, no lift or tilt.

Everything works except those two functions. I have checked grounds, the wiring and nothing obvious. I was wondering if you can tell me which of the actuators drive those operations so I can continue to diagnose?

I have checked the two actuators on the top of the manifold on the right side of the machine. If I put 12v to them, they click but I dont have enough hands to put power and check if they are magnetized ??? He has replaced one of them but he did not know what function that particular acuator controls?

Any help would be much appreciated, I am an auto tech and have zero exp with a bobcat! Thank you!
