Is 4700 hours a lot for this model machine. It is in decent shape with new foam filled tires for $6000.00

I would say no. Not sure about the e series, but he 940,960's were pretty much bullet proof. We had a960 with 8500hrs and had done very little except regular maintenance to it. I have to admit that I am biased to mustangs. We have owned 5 different ones over the years and they just seem to run. Our 930a was probably the most troublesome with axle bearings. Not sure about price that seems like plenty for a 15yr. old machine?? Check it over good.

Agreed. I think the price is a little steep. I paid that for my 2000 2040 with less than 1,000 hrs. I think there comes a point where the hours don't really matter, just if you can get parts anymore.

Sure would like to find some of those deals . It would seem the prices are higher in the Ohio . I am looking at another 940e with 3000 hours that comes with a smoth and toothed bucket, snowplow and chains, cab enclosure and the auto tilt arms and bucket option. He wants 6000.00 for that.

Tires are cheap and not a deal-breaker. I just re-booted mine. $534.00 including tax & mounting.
Well I found a 1996 940e with 3000 hours on it that comes with a smooth edge and toothed bucket, 7' Myers hydraulic plow, wheel chains and cab enclousure for $5800.00. Needs tires and the heater fan is not working. Both simple fixes. I pick it up this friday. Anybody know if 12" wide tires will fit on this machine. The stock ones are 10".

Don't know for sure if the 12" wheels & tires will fit. Depends on lug bolt size and circle, pilot circle, distance between tires, depth of wheel to chain case (reverse wheels maybe?), tire to frame vertical clearance.

I was just going to change the tires out to the 12" I realize the rim withe may be different however it may not make that myuch difference. I can pick up a set of 4 used 12" tires with about 90% tread for $275.00
