I have been putting off a project of mine for quite some time. I have a 1971 Owatonna Mustang with the Ford Industrial Gas engine (4cyl watercooled). It has quite an oil leak coming from the crankcase (most likely gasket). I was thinking about rebuilding this engine and have found that many parts are near impossible to find. questions i have: 1) is there a place that still has an availablity of engine parts for the 4cyl ford industrial engine? and if not.. 2)What (if any) kind of engine conversions have people done to this type of mustang? Im leaning more towards putting another gas engine back in (preferable one that still makes parts). Im running out of options with this Mustang. I thought there was more parts out there for the Ford Industrial but i was apparently wrong. I dont wanna send this machine to scrap...
