1845 case

hey guys, I wonder if anybody knows about aftermarket engine rebuild kits? Who made the 1845 gas engine, or is it, as my case dealer said, is it a case engine and can only be rebuilt with the $1000 plus case master kit? I rebuilt a big block 454 for about half of the cost the dealer wants just for parts! Any info would be greatly appreciated. By the way, I love the 1845 and I also love this forum, got a lot of great info here, and everybody is really cool and helpful, even the bobcat cats. Thanks, JOMO.

Not sure on the gas models, maybe ask engine rebuilders www.engreb.com in Oakes ND if they can supply a reman kit.

Hi, I have an 1980 - 1845 and it was originally a wisconsin gas engine if that helps. It was converted to diesel before I purchased it.

Hey, thanks for responding.What kind of diese did they use? Did it bolt up or did they have to do modification? Thanks again, JOMO
