I went on LPS website for my drive motor. They list one and state that it is brand new OEM replacement for my 40XT.
I found it very odd that when I called them to see who the manufacturer of the drive was, and to check availability, I was told that they do not have access to that information and all they knew was that the drive was made or came from a supplier in Indiana.
I was expecting them to tell me it was a White, Char Lynn or Eaton...etc... which would be my interpretation of OEM.
Im concerned that they may be selling me a Chinese knock off drive motor......... Has anyone purchased from this company (LPS Loader Parts Source) before?

Normally they are really good at answering any questions. I have always had a good experience with them but I have only purchased rebuilt motors from them.

One would think they would know the manufacturer of their parts. But be aware that the supplier to the OEM may change from who supplied the parts when the machine was still in production. I use the 1835B that I am so familiar with as an example. The original drive motors were Ross/TRW, if you buy a new drive motor through Case today it will be a Parker.

I found them extremely helpful and knowledgeable when I was having drive motor problems and would not hesitate to call them again.

Perhaps the confusion is due to the manufacturer being different today than when the machine was built. The Case 371560A1 motor was originally developed and manufactured by the CharLynn division of Eaton. In recent years Eaton was bought by Danfoss. Certain product lines were pushed out to different manufacturers in order for the purchase of Eaton to go through. This product line was one of them. It is a VIS motor. All of that said; I have not seen nor heard of a knockoff version of these motors. Of course, I don't know everything. Hopefully LPS would tell you if the motor is aftermarket or OEM, whether or not they know the brand of manufacturer.

I bought an attachment coupler plate to replace the damaged Bobtach coupler plate on my S175 from LPS last year. It was an excellent fit and indistinguishable from the OEM unit at about half the cost. Shipping was fine and it came with all the parts needed - pins and bushings. My machine is like new again. I don't remember if the origin/manufacturer of the parts was indicated.
