Hello-
Would anyone know if you can update the early used steel drive chain guides to the later used plastic chain guides on the Bobcat 743?
I have a 743 with the small steel ramps and the chains are hitting and machining/grinding away the metal copper colored drive housing just before the guide begins. The later plastic ramps are longer and "hug" the housing in that area preventing the chain from slapping on that housing as shown in attached file.
I would like to update this 743 to the longer plastic guide ramps if possible and not extreme to accomplish.
Thanks! in advance to any offering their knowledge or experience.

All that I see in the parts catalog is the plastic guide. I see that Bobcat still have them in stock. But your specific machine may be different.
If you have the later model 743 machine and the chains are rubbing, then you probably need to replace the chains because they have stretched.

Here is a link to the parts diagrams. Look for your serial number to see what's available.
