Thanks i was unaware at the time of posting. Well i researched on a few online sites. was unable to find the part location. Its more of a strainer cap. I called the local dealer here and they stated that the part would be 165 plus shipping. just trying to fine a 2nd opinion.
Did you try to ID the cap on the New Holland website on a computer (not a smart phone)? Last time I was in the parts department at the local NH/Case dealership the parts man brought up the same parts pics and numbers I found at home on the NH website. I was surprised he didn't have a way more complex and complete parts manual like most all other truck/equipment dealers have but he said no, what I got the public can get at home.
I searched for l-783 parts online. The filter on right is different than the one on left. Price for the right one (looking from front) was 229 one on left was 164. Make sure you get the one you need. Maybe you could find a used one. Don't know where you would look. Good luck.
There is one on Ebay type in 9805142 it has the magnet in cap already and Oring.
