    Leaky chaincase cover repair

OldMachinest> "If I had to do it over I would have put it up on the trailer and turned the machine sideways so the rear of the chaincase was hanging over the side of the trailer. I didn't think of that until I was done, loaded it on the trailer and saw how easy that would have made it." < <...

Ok...how the heck did I post that twice. Bah ha ha ha hahaha

    743 Bucking

IMHO, the 743 is notorious for bucking and operator if he doesn't operate it properly, more so than the later model Bobcats. Once it starts bucking, next thing you know you'd think you're riding a basketball. It's best to rest your forearms on the lap bar and use it to steady your arms as...

Bobcat 863 leaking hydro fluid to the right of the motor..

You can typically access the hose connections to the drive motors by removing the cover on the side of the machine. I've always been able to get them loose with just a open end wrench, I'm thinking it takes a 1 1/4" wrench.

    753 no go no nothing

I'm not certain about the 753, but on most late Bobcats, the ones with the fuse box between your legs, the red wire of the fuel solenoid has power delivered by ECU, the white wire has power supplied by the Fuel relay in fuse box, and I can't remember if black wire goes to frame ground or is...

    743 lack of fuel

JPL, the thing that is curious to me and negates all other items, i.e. fuel lines, filter, etc., is that it still didn't operate proper when connected to a short hose coming from fuel container. It just sounds like your lift pump isn't moving far enough to pump, considering you stated you could...

    drive motor problem.

Start at your drive motors. There will be three lines connected to each drive motor. Two big lines for forward and reverse drive, and one small line, that's the case drain line. Follow that small line, it will take you to the inline case drain filter/filters.

Air Conditioning compressor cycles on and off S185

Well, 30 psi is not unusually low for the low side. After all, that is the "suction side" when compressor is operating. The low side may vary from roughly 10 to 40 psi when system is operating and depending on temperature conditions. What may be kicking your system off is high side pressure too...

LoL, thanks for the welcome Tazza. I got so much stuff inside my head, problem is, remembering which brain file I got it stuck in.

1825 pump seal can i replace without pulling pump?

I'm thinking the correct parts pages should be s/n 0069587 and after. The other parts pages are for models prior to that number.

1825 pump seal can i replace without pulling pump?

Oh, forgot something, you may consider putting a vacuum on the fill spout of hyd tank. Otherwise, you're gonna dump some oil when you remove that bearing plate.

1825 pump seal can i replace without pulling pump?

In most cases, you can replace control shaft seal without removal or disassembly of drive pump. It requires removal of the control arms connected to the pump control shaft and remove the bearing retainer plate with the seal. Remove carefully and slowly though, there's some bearing loader shims...

    1845-c injector pump

Well, reckon kasowski got it fixed? Ain't heard back from him since. But for future reference of others with a problem like described, as Tazza said, check the fuel solenoid. The 1845C used three different injection pumps on the Cummins 4-390, one has a cartridge solenoid in the bottom of the...

Howdy y'all. Spend most of my time at another forum, stumbled across this one today, figured I'd slip in and check out the crew. I'm the mechanic at an independent used machinery dealer, keeps me plenty busy working on machines that are either for sale or on rental, and do repairs on customer...
