    Stuck injectors!!

Well I got the injectors out. What a pain. For anybody reading that may have a similar situation I had to drill them out. Drill the top through and bottom through then smack the seized portion of the injector down through hole at the top of the head. Anyway I installed new injectors with the...

    Stuck injectors!!

Great ideas! Unfortunately I haven’t had time to get back to it but willl soon and now have a great couple of options thanks to this forum. I enjoy reading the creative fabrication stuff here! Thanks a lot! Will keep you updated at what works the best. I did weld up a pencil puller type device...

    Stuck injectors!!

Well three weeks into it and still no luck. Heat on and off does absolutely nothing. Had to return the slide hammer right about the time you suggested welding it on. I may buy one and try that. I made a bracket that grabbed the side of the injector below the notches and tried to extract that...

    Stuck injectors!!

Thanks. I heated twice one and after a ton ofnslide hammer and making a socket that did somewhat fit I got one out. Worked on the second but stripped threads on both the injector and nut. I’ve worked on a TON of things over the last 30 yrs. these are the most stuck/seized thing I’ve had to pull...

    Stuck injectors!!

Posting a quick question before I pull the head and try a hydraulic press to get these suckers out. I have a bobcat 863 with the Duetz engine. Need to replace all four fuel injectors. They are corroded in there. Rust has claimed a hold of them. I removed the hold down bracket which I believe is...

Glow plugs....that time of the year!

Sorry it’s been a while, figured I would circle back on the glow plug issue. Unfortunately the plugs didn’t work. They were a tad too slim to fit so you may be stuck with the expensive ones that you can’t get locally. I can add though that my plugs ended up being fine. Maybe this will help...

Glow plugs....that time of the year!

Will do. I will install them and see how they do this weekend. If they work well I will certainly post back with the part number. I literally spend an hour or two and made numerous calls. If it can help somebody else save money, find it stocked at a local store, and save time looking then great!

Glow plugs....that time of the year!

Thanks! I found through those numbers (specifically the GN960) a part number through advanced auto that cross referenced to an autolite glow plug. Looks identical to my expensive German plug. Way cheaper and they had them in stock. $42 for all four after tax (less than the price of one from the...

Glow plugs....that time of the year!

Hello everybody, I have a bobcat 863 with the Duetz 1011 engine and am in need of a full set of glow plugs. They must have been going out one at a time until now all are done and now it won’t fire. Can’t believe that in 62 degrees it wouldn’t start without them....I called my local dealer and...

    Stuck detent sleeve?

Figured this was the best way to refresh a quick question I posted on my old thread. Had no lift on my bobcat 863. Found that something is wrong/not moving in the detent sleeve where the spring/balls are. According to my manual you should just be able to pull the detent sleeve off and with a rag...

    Bobcat 863F no lift!?

It spins around freely but the sleeve won’t come off. Am I missing something?

    Bobcat 863F no lift!?

Ok sorry it’s been a while. Finally got a chance to mess with this issue. I could not get the spool out due to access. I’m sure if I messed long enough with it maybe I could have but decided since it was total caked in grease anyway I would just pull it out. That sucked. Never want to do that...

    Bobcat 863F no lift!?

That’s what I was looking for. Thanks! I tried today a little to get the cap off but there’s just too much in the way. I’m going to have to remove the whole control valve I believe. If I thought I could figure out/Fox the issue without removing the whole spool I may try harder to get the cap off...

    Bobcat 863F no lift!?

That’s would make sense to me. I believe are correct that the spool is locked in there. I can’t get it to move so not knowing this machine much I was thinking maybe there’s a spool lock attached to a solenoid that may be bad. I don’t think I actually have one. I think with my machine if I don’t...

    Bobcat 863F no lift!?

Anybody have any ideas or know if there’s some sort of solenoid lock that this may have? I can’t see anything with wires beyond the top two coils and side coil that are connected to valves. They don’t have any kind of magnetic Licking rod in them that I know of.
