    743 kubota diesel running fluffy

So, the issue only started once you changed the glow plugs? If you only cracked fuel lines at the pump or injectors, that really shouldn't have been an issue. Are you getting any smoke? smoke tells us a lot about what is going on

LX565 Erratic Engine RPM on Shibaura N844

My understanding of the N844 governor system is springs and linkages, springs seem to loose tension over time, i wonder if you opening it up loosened things up? possibly even the injector pump rack, i wonder if that was part of the issue. They are a good engine, but their failure point is the...

What holds the lapbar up on a 743?

You need new springs, the old ones loose tension over time, you can put gas struts on, but the springs work just fine.

    T650 Injector pump oil bath?

I'm not really sure about what you are asking here..... I alson don't know the year model of your machine to know what model engine you are running, if it is a Kubota V33,36,3800 like i suspect you are. It runs an external injector pump unit, there is an inline pump that bolts to this housing...

863 bobtach bent bad by loader arms

You did a good job.... I have never damaged one here, i have repaired ones that tore where the ram joins to the bobtach, the material on the outside looks thinner than the other side, no idea why they'd do it that way. Your biggest issue will be getting things straight, you need it so the...

awfully loud grinding sound on start-up

I'd lean towards it being your neutral adjustment. I am not sure if it causes damage, it's not ideal, i don't know if you can unlock the brake before starting or not to confirm if it's right. Adjusting it is still a good idea, make it stop creeping.

awfully loud grinding sound on start-up

Smoke, the blue is generally engine oil, watch your oil consumption. If it starts well and runs nice, don't be too concerned. The grinding, could it be your neutral adjustment? does your machine creep when you aren't holding the steering levers? if so, the brake is likely on at startup, so your...

    Axle tube damaged?

I'd suspect the bearings too. These run in oil and don't really have much load, i'd highly doubt they would spin like an engine bearing does. It has likely damaged the wear area on the axle, but you can install a sleeve to fix that. As stated, you need to pull the axle and go from there to see...

    Hydraulic Questions - Cylinder rebuild on a 2006 553

WOW, that sure is some nasty scratches on that piston, i don't know what particles you got in there to do that damage, but i hope the filter caught them all.

Bobcat 313, Kubota diesel ZB600C Engine Glowplugs?

I'm leaning towards giving it a snort of ether too. Another thing you can try, is take the glow plugs out, give each cylinder one or two squirts of oil, put them back in and try it again. If it fires up, you likely have worn cylinders or stuck rings. If you can get it running and the issue...

Bobcat 313, Kubota diesel ZB600C Engine Glowplugs?

normally the diode is to the glow plug solenoid, it provides power to the glow plugs while you crank, and not just when you turn the key to the left. That little extra glow helps with starting those old engines. If the diode was not there, and it was just a wire, when you go to glow, your engine...

Bobcat 313, Kubota diesel ZB600C Engine Glowplugs?

I'm interested in hearing how you go with getting the old engine running. With no glow plugs, i'd be concerned with corrosion inside, but you hopefully will be lucky. If you're in australia, i can help you out, freight to over seas generally exceeds what the parts cost. I believe the ZB600 is...

    1990 743 motor carrier seal

The motor carrier seals are actually not part of the motor, the motors have seals for the high pressure side, but the end where the shaft exits, has no seal as such, this is where the carrier seal comes into play. If you aren't gaining oil in the chain case, no real reason to change the seals...

    743 crankcase pressure problem

Wet liners i agree with you, they are almost always finished, but dry liners that you push into a parent bore are almost always semi-finished. If the parent bore has distorted from heat, you press the new liner in, it will also be distorted. This is why we do not recommend sleeving just one...

763 starts great runs a little and dies

What was done to the pump, do you know? Do you get smoke when it dies? what happens when you try to re-start it? I have seen something like this before, but i need to hear about smoke first, smoke tells a lot about a diesel engine.
