I've got a L783. As previously suggested, as soon as I can get some spare time, I'm gonna take the seat off and go down to TSC and compare bolt patterns on the bottom as well as the delta switch cutout hole. I'll keep you guys posted. Thanks.

I think I got my answer: its where you add oil to the engine (timing cover). I found the dipstick to check the oil, and the plug to drain the oil, but hadn't thought about where to put the oil back in. Obvious now. thanks, stephen

I did look at diggerdata.com, but they listed the L783 and L785 as exactly the same as far as I could tell.

Does anyone recall what the differences were between the various New Holland machines of the late 1980's era? Specifically the difference between the L785 and L783? thanks
