    Mustang 2040 No power to ignition switch

    There is a breaker (35A?) inside the engine compartment, feeding all electrical. Check that... I think it is on the back wall of the engine compartment, if I recall (been a while...)

    Depending on model, it may also match the CASE series, like 1830 or 1840. I'm looking into that myself. My 2040 has a 6 bolt/6" center patterm with an inside hole of about 4 7/8 inch. It all boils down to measuring it, and checking with other dealers.

    PS. Faulty control module should not affect lights in switches (they are basically indicator bulbs), but faulty switches may affect how the control module responds.

    What to look out for?

    From what I can see in the schematic (2040/2050), the lights are just in the switches. There is no feedback from anything to the lights in the park and lock switches. So, if the lights are intermittent, it is most likely the bulb, or the switch itself (bad contact - harness - etc.) It's a pain...
