    Replacement Track Recommendations

The best luck on rubber tracks we had so far are McLaren's premium bar tracks - excellent traction and they lasted well (over 1,500 hrs). After that are their terrapin tracks, they lasted even longer, but have less grip. We run Bobcats... Just my 50 cents. Hope it helps.

How do you like your new McLaren solid tires and their service? I'll be soon getting on the market for solids as well...

    Steel tracks over wheels

Same here... I didn't notice any power loss. We have McLaren over tires steel tracks and I love them. There are dozens of jobs we could have not done without them. It wasn't easy to put them on the first time because they needed some initial adjustment to fit the wheel base of the loader, but...

    Tracks vs tires

We have McLaren over tires steel tracks and we love them. There are dozens of jobs we could have not done without them. It wasn't easy to put them on the first time because they needed some initial adjustment to fit the wheel base of the loader, but after that it got much easier. Now it takes...

    OTT Rubber Tracks

Hi, sorry to reply so late but I haven’t had a chance to get to the forum the last few months. Anyway, I think you won't go wrong by either Grouser or McLaren OTTs. We personally carry McLaren Rubber OTT and they do a great job for us, but it really depends on your specific job application if...

    McLaren Nu-Air Dirt tires

I second this. The McLaren tires are great - we are using both their DT and AT tires (AT will last you even longer than the DT) - but they are not made for snow. However, once you trow a set of OTT over them, it's another story. With the OTT, the loader becomes a hole new machine and it can...

    Newb needs advice QWUICK!!!!!! please

Dyno, did you get the Camoplast tracks? Are these made in Korea? I wonder how they are performing and lasting as we have not tried them yet. I agree with Ron - stay away from Dominion or other Chinese tracks. It's jsut too risky - you may get lucky, but you may also burn. We did. We used to buy...

    Replacement tracks

I may be wrong, but I think 1-2 years ago Camoplast also bought another Korean track maker called Taeryuk, or something like it, that was going down due to poor quality tracks and this is how they entered the MX and CTL rubber track business. Until then they only made non-metal insert tracks...

    Replacement tracks

Just as I said before, you're taking a big risk when you buy Chinese or Korean, and I know Prolwer is a Chinese importer. But in a tough market like now, the price really matters, so who can blame ya... What we do is to try to get a bargain price from the reputable makers. Right now, it's a...

Questions around putting over the tire tracks on an 853

Bcollida, if you are concerned about damaging the ground, you should go for a rubber version of over the tire tracks. Both McLaren and Solideal offer rubber tracks that will go over your tires and are made to protect the ground from any damage.

    Nu-Air flat-proof tires

I agree with Famboy! We run NuAir tires and we love them. I don't think we are going to pneumatics tires ever again. We also used to run the Bullmans which do a good job, too, but NuAir is defitely the best tire we've ever had. However, an over-the-tire track is the best way to go if you really...

    Tire sealants

Hi Plasmaguy, did you install your new tires already? I'm wondering how good is the cushioning on your new tires; how do they ride and compare with the pneumatic? We have been running both Bullman and NuAir flat proof tires for a long time and have been very pleased with their wear and...

    Replacement tracks

Good question -- well, last I asked about it, the answer was that McLaren designs all their tracks in the USA and then makes them in their own factory in Thailand. I think they are holding some US patents, too. I believe Thailand is currently the largest producer of natural rubber in the world...

    Replacement tracks

When talking about aftermarket excavator and track loader track, I have been using McLaren for many years now and I've been very pleased with their track quality and customer care. Yes, they are more expensive than some other guys (like the no brand Chinese or Korean made tracks), but this extra...

    Tracks. Now, which brand?

Thanks, Ken. Good info. I read somewhere on the forums that the McLaren tracks are really heavier duty than most tracks on the market (it sure seems that way when you compare their weights), but what do you think about it? They do seem quite thicker and tough built, but these are just pictures...
