You can program any passcode you wish in the settings menu. It's been a while since I've used a G series machine with a passcode so I forget the process of hand. If I remember correctly, once you set it, it needs to be repeated. Once you set the "main" passcode, other passcodes can be set for...
There are some machines with low hours out there. My machine had 613 hrs at 10 yrs old. Twelve yrs later it has a total of 1400 and running strong, as it should. There are many machines with that same engine with 6-10k hrs for sale trying to fetch big $$. I know it's a big purchase and being...
A broken coupler is just a suggestion. Given the age of the machine and being its not easy to maintain, plus many owners arent aware the u-joint is even there.
There really isnt a comparison between the two units, go for the 773 its twice the machine. Not to mention the extra aux hydraulic output for attachments. The 743's were tough as nails but they are getting aged despite what the paint looks like. The longer wheel base of the 773 is more solid...
The U-joint between the engine and hydro pump may be broken. You dont want the machine to start without knowing for sure if it's the U-joint or not. If it does happen to start with a bad U-joint, bad things can happen fast.
If there's no power inside of the cab, check the 100 amp fuse that supplies the power to the cab. Not sure of its location on a F series, but on a G series, one positive battery cable goes to the starter, and the second positive cable goes above the battery into a black box. Inside the box is...
Some G series came with an upgraded wire harness. I believe its the machines that have the enclosed cab with heat an or air. They are supposed to be pre wired for add-ons. That's about all I can say, but a simple 12 voltage tester would let you know real fast, good luck.
They can be put back together but what happens is when the handle is released the parts go flying, good luck finding them. The main piece that goes thru the glass is $35 alone from a Cat dealer.
