New Holland LS170 w/ 950 hrs for sale

SOLD SOLD SOLD The machine and all attachments have been sold as a full package. I have to admit I feel sad every time I glance toward my carport and there is no skid steer and equipment anymore. A part of me is missing.

Should read "950 hrs". Sorry, my "9" key doesn't always work.

New Holland LS170 w/ 950 hrs for sale

As I sit here in the hospital recovering from a heart attack, I realize it's time to close my business and sell my skid steer and attachments. I have a 2005 New Holland LS170 with regular flow hydraulics, bought new, with 950 hours driven only by me. Has after market McLaren rubber tracks, solid...

Would you recommend a NH to a friend?

I bought my NH LS170 new in 2005. Except for a seat belt problem in 2014, which a dealer in WV screwed up but my local dealer in NJ quickly and inexpensively repaired, I've had no problems. As long as you're not looking for a very powerful skid steer, I recommend my 54hp machine.

Are New Holland and Case the same product?

I am getting ready to buy a new New Holland skid steer with hand-only controls since my legs are bothering me at my age. I was watching a youtube video and saw a factory with employees holding both a New Holland banner and a Case banner. Does that mean they are basically the same skid steer now...

I Need help figuring out what to buy

I think that you need to go with a brand that has a sales/service facility near by. For me it was New Holland, which is closest. They've always responded to any questions I've had and we've formed a great relationship. I bought an LS170 wheel machine, then I bought aftermarket MacLaren tracks...

    LS170 attachment latch adjustment

Mike: You were right. My guys kept overlooking the grease fittings for the latches. The problem has been corrected.

    LS170 attachment latch adjustment

One of the two latches that lock in the attachments on my 2005 LS170 has been getting harder to lock down lately and now it completely won't lock down, even if I have no attachment on it. I've checked my owner's manual and the internet with no luck. I assume that spring that slightly protrudes...

    Need auger brand recommendations

I haven't had any difficulty drilling holes in West Virginia karst rock with the McMillen. The rock bits are great for eating through our tough rock.

    Skid Steer Leaf Shredder

Does any company manufacture and/or sell a leaf shredder for a skid steer? I really need an alternative to engine-mounted chipper/shredders, which are trash in a few years.

    LS170 parking brake

Here's my follow up to the parking brake issue. Talked to the dealer today and it seems that they made a half hearted effort to follow the instructions in the manual, also supplied by Mike. They said the adjustment didn't work, though I sensed a lack of enthusiasm. So now my LS170 is parked for...

    LS170 parking brake

Thanks so much Mike for your detailed help. I will be on the phone with the dealer first thing in the morning. His mechanic will be out to my place later in the week to replace a defective part at no charge, so hopefully they can fix the brake then. Thanks again.

    LS170 parking brake

The parking brake is a lever on the right side. I scoured the owner's manual and could not find anything about adjusting the parking brake. I will call the service department Tuesday and suggest your solution. Thanks for both your replies. I will let you know how I make out with the dealer.

    LS170 parking brake

The parking brake on my 2005 LS170 (730 hours) completely failed the other day. The local NH dealer, who deals mainly with tractor repairs and only occasionally construction equipment, gave me a quote of $1300-1400 for the brake repair. Admittedly, they've never done one before. Does this...
