    Adding case drain to 318G?

I'm considering purchasing a low hour 318G but it doesn't have a case drain. Anyone know if one can be added? I have an attachment that requires it. If it can be added, is it better to have the dealer do it our is it a simple job anyone can do?

    Installing STIFF Pump Suction Hose?

I have a Bobcat 763 High Flow Skid steer. The bracket holding the high flow pump broke allowing the pump to rotate and it disconnected the 1 1/4" (or thereabouts) suction hose that attaches to an elbow underneath the pump. The bracket is fixed and all that is left is to install that suction hose...

    763 Aux hydraulic seems slow?

I have a 763H and I've run a root grapple, auger, etc with it and it has always seemed fine. I just bought a halverson wood processor and it's rated for 15 GPM. My skid is supposed to flow 15 GPM. However, the hydraulic saw seems slow to me and won't hardly cut. Is there something that can cause...

Cost to replace spool valve seals?

Thanks for the reply. When I look at it it looks to me like you drain the hydraulic oil and then remove the cap screws from the spool valves and then slide them out. But there has to be more to it then that. Does anything on the opposite end (the front of the control valve assembly) need to be...

Cost to replace spool valve seals?

Hi All, I have a 1996 Bobcat 763H that is leaking oil around the top spool valve. If I take it in to the dealer to have the seals replaced top and bottom, any idea what it roughly costs? I know I could do it myself but I don't want to. :) I can call in the morning and ask the dealer what they...

    What size lug nuts 763?

Bobbie, Thanks! I did use a ratchet strap and then shot starting fluid into the tire and lit it with a torch. That seated the bead but the stupid little air tank I had taken into the woods wouldn't put any air in the tire. I have no idea why. It had 120 pounds in the tank. I ended up driving the...

    What size lug nuts 763?

My skid steer is out in the woods with a tire spun loose from the rim. I will head out in the morning to take the wheel off and bring it back to my shop to fix. Anyone know what size the lug nuts are on it? My 4-way lug wrench was too small. I'll pick up a new wrench if someone knows the socket...

    Tip cab with FEL down?

Hi Guys, I blew the hydraulic hose that connects to the right (bottom hose connection) lift cylinder on my 763H. I know that it's recommended to lift the FEL up high when tipping the cab. Is that because the cab won't clear without it in that position or is it for easier access? I've never...

763H Hydraulics - bucket curls down on its own

Thanks. I got it all back together and its working great. I had been skeptical that the ring compressor would force that seal back to its original diameter but darned if it didn't! The seal looked great after 3 or 4 minutes in the ring compressor. I really want to thank everyone who helped. Its...

763H Hydraulics - bucket curls down on its own

I got the ram apart. The nut on the end of the rod was very loose so that was definitely a problem. I was going to just tighten the nut and put it back together since the seals were replaced a couple years ago but then I noticed that the seal on the piston was actually split in half (torn). Also...

763H Hydraulics - bucket curls down on its own

I will post an update on what I find. I pulled the cylinder off and have it laying on the bench but have not yet taken it apart. I also picked up a seal kit. Figured even if it's just the nut as long as I have it apart I'll put new seals in it. I won't get time to work on it until Friday. I can...

763H Hydraulics - bucket curls down on its own

Thanks Dan. I really appreciate you taking the time to reply. I'll take the cylinder off and pull it apart and see what is going on.

763H Hydraulics - bucket curls down on its own

It could be the nut backed off. I replaced the rod in the cylinder a couple of years ago and put new seals in at that time. Its possible I didn't get the nut tight enough though I do tend to over tighten things. I'm going to check the spool valve before I do anything. I suspect there might be a...
