    Engine does have a ticking noise. Valve cover is easy to remove. I will also set the valve clearance if I don't see anything wrong.

    Timing was right at 12 degrees.

    Compression test showed 110 to 120 psi on all cylinders. Need step is to remove the valve cover and take a look.

    Why would the air cleaner hose will up with gas when trying to start this skid-steer? Carb was adjusted to the point the choke was almost closed in order for it to run decent.
