How did that work out with the calibration of the fuel gauge? I ended up just getting an OEM directly from bobcat to avoid all those hassles of a full tank showing half full etc.
My 743 makes those same exact sounds but I find it's a part throttle thing. I really only throttle down when moving around or doing minimal stuff. As soon as I'm doing actual work I crank it to full throttle and those squeals are gone or maybe just so minimal I haven't noticed. I'll pay more...
Yeah that was a good find. I wanted to make sure and post it in here too for people searching. It's no fun finding a thread of your exact issue and no resolution was ever posted lol.
As for my light switch I haven't found much of anything. I'm thinking I may just wire that first click of the...
After some searching I found this thread (for anyone searching)

There's a post in there by a guy named Michael that explains that pressure switch I found under the cab has two connections. One normally...
This is a few months old now, did you ever figure it out? I'm in the process of trying to fix my '86 743 hour meter that someone just wired up to key on power so it runs regardless of engine running or not.
I got to looking under the cab and possibly found the hour meter wire. Found the same looking yellow with black stripe wire and not far from it is some sort of pressure switch.
I unfortunately ran out of time and had to bolt to work so I haven't traced out the wire yet but if that checks...
Yeah same as what I'm finding. I guess bobcat it is.
Yes I pulled the sending unit out. It measures around 1.8 ~ 2 mega ohms and not much happened as I moved the float arm from empty to full. I'm assuming that was just the conductivity of the diesel fuel across the windings. They're clearly...
Couple questions on my new to me 1986 743. First on the hour meter. I noticed when you key on it starts counting right away. Normally on most equipment that should only go as the engine is running. I pulled apart the dash and I can see the hour meter has a positive supply from the key switch...
Hey Guys,
I'm trying to source a replacement fuel sending unit. Bobcat has it for $100 part # 6568175. I'm surprised I can't find it on ebay, amazon or anywhere. Usually dealer listings with better pricing comes up or other brands to replace the factory part etc. Not finding anything...
