    lx885/lx865

IIRC, 885 has the 2 speed, 865 is single.

Almost there! Now how to bleed the air of the fuel lines?Lx885

Do you have the key on? What are you using for a pump. After re reading my last post, plug the return in the tank, leave the hose open.

Almost there! Now how to bleed the air of the fuel lines?Lx885

If you don't have an electric pump, pull and plug off the return from the tank, take an air blow gun, wrap a rag around it, and place into the fuel filler pipe. GENTLY puff the tank, and watch for fuel to run out the return line. Hook the return back up and go! Make sure the key is on when you...

Adding aux hyd to an L-250?

I'm thinking about adding aux hydraulics to my 1991(ish) L-250. Anybody done it before or or have a kit? Or parting one out? I looked on NH's website, but the kit is no longer availible, not that I could afford it anyway. The only pieces I really need are the valve and the tubing to hook it to...

new holland L250 good and bad

I got mine for less than scrap price ($300). Have about $800 in it total with 4 new tires. The drive belt tensioner pulley was bad on mine, got a new one from New Holland, was a redesign with no lip, would jump one belt off regularly. Got another pulley with a lip, a few washers for shims, and...

new holland L250 good and bad

As far as the oil change, 50 hours would probably be OK, but for me, once a year just cause I don't put that many hrs on it around the house. I only got about 5 hrs out of the last change, as the float stuck after I parked it, filled the engine with gas. Now I am sure to shut it off at the tank...

new holland L250 good and bad

I'm not too worried about the chains- I have all 4 new 5.70-12 chevron tread tires, the chains fall into the tread of the tire, so only the little v bars are biteing. I see your point, If it was on even semi dry/firm ground it may be an issue, but my driveway is the last one to get plowed. The...

new holland L250 good and bad

I made up a quick tach plate and mounted an old 6' Jeep plow on mine. It works well up to about 6" of snow trying to angle and roll the snow. Any more than about 8" I just straight blade it. We usually don't get more than 4-5" per storm, so not a big deal. I ended this past winter with chains on...

new holland L250 good and bad

I love mine, great for around the house, it's amazing what it will do for such a small machine. It's only had some small problems, oil leaks, nothing major. It might take a little longer to get the job done, but it's way better than a shovel and wheelbarrow.

    763G relief valve? leak

Thanks! I will compare when I get home tonite. It looks like the E2 valve (has standard controls). I'll try to get it out tonite, get it ordered for the weekend.

    763G relief valve? leak

My buddy brought his 763 over last night, everything works fine, but it's leaking hyd oil from what looks like a relief valve on the boom hyd valve. It is a 1" hex about 1 1/2" long facing the front of the machine. I went to the dealer this morning, their pics/ parts diagram/employee was less...

    Oil drip on LS125

I have an L-250 (same machine but older and gas), was plagued with little leaks when I got it. Half of the access covers on the chain cases leaked. I did the two front ones first beside the pedals, wasn't a bad job, but not my favorite. The left outside center one seeps just a little bit, but...

    Snowblower attachment for New Holland

Get a 7 1/2' pickup truck snowplow, get a quick attach plate, and make a mount. I set up an old 6' Jeep plow on my L250, it's a bit big for a 2000 lb machine, but it works. Hook up the auxillaries for the power angle, and you are set. I used to plow with an LX885 2 speed, 8' Meyers pickup truck...

    fuel consumption L170 vs. LS180

When was the last time the air filters were changed? Might make a big difference.

    ls125

I have an L-250 (the older gas version of the LS125) and I love it. Around the house or in a barn, it's great. Way better than a shovel and wheelbarrow. Just keep in mind, it's only 18 horsepower and 2000 lbs. For big rocks, not a good plan. I built a quicktatch plate with an old 6' Jeep...
