We did this on an 863 G series last summer and somehow the auxillary hydraulics don't run right now. When we put our soil preparator on now only one direction spins with any good speed and power. The other direction spinns but like half the speed and 1/4 power. We did all the work...10 hrs...

The Fuse # is F11 it is labeled Alt & kits. If you are looking straight down between your knees it is the 3rd fuse down and on the left side. The fuse pops within 5 min of running the motor at any speed above idle.

Would it say if a time delay fuse is needed on the cover? Thats where I remember reading that its a 25 that goes in there. I was putting 30's in ther last season because i was so fed up and just wanted to get some charge on the battery when the charger wasn't on the job. What a PIA.

Ken, so what your saying is to replace the alternator w/ the self exciting one u suggest. Use the existing wire that lead to the battery and let the two wires which use to excite the alt. dangle and do nothing. Correct? I hope that alt will fit.

Oh and the only thing that I can tell that doesnt work when you remove that fuse is the charging of the battery.
