Also the filler plug( with small dipstick) is dry but only extends down the filler tube about 3 inches.

Does the hydraulic dip stick on the 2009 Gehl 5240 E actually show fluid when it is full or is the sight glass further down the tube the only reference ? I cannot determine if the sight glass is full or empty. My log splitter attachment does not work because the pump is not kicking in to...
