It does work, but I have to heat the outside surface until it glows. And even that isn't hot enough always. 5 out, 3 to go. I'm going for 2 next to each other, then letting it cool to avoid heating the motor too much.

I got the outside surface temp up to 750 degrees F, and no luck. I'll be traveling but will get more aggressive next week on it. There are lots of extra bolt holes, so worst case I cut them all off and use fresh holes. I may do that anyway, then I don't have to worry about damaging the motor.
