Im seeing different looking spool seals listed for 742 on ebay and online. Mine has black quad ring seal i belive inside currently but seeing some green ones with lip on one end and groove cut into one side. Are these compatible? Is it best to purchase from bobcat or is aftermarket ok?

I ended up heating coupler with acetelene torch and using 3 jaw puller with slide hammer and it popped off.

Is there a trick to removing this. Trying to reseal rear hydrostatic shaft. Bolt is removed put 3 jaw puller on it but wont budge. Soaked in pb blaster and also heated a bit with mapp gas while pulling but no luck so far. Puller is not grabbing real well but do get decent tension on it.

Is there a better service manual available for a 742 bobcat? I have one but doesnt show hydrostatic pump disassembly or control valve dissasembly. A pdf download would be helpful.

New owner of basket case 742. Engine is out currently. Was told seal at input to hydrostatic pump from engine is leaking. Is it straitforward to replace? Also lower spool on control valve was leaking? Hoping to reseal hydro and maybe try it to see exact location of control valve leak.
