Gotta 853 Bobcat (Izusu) runs great, excellent tires, clean machine. Izusu starts instantly any weather, never needs glowplugs. I'm the second owner/operator and I've had it for over 10 years. Never abused or run hard. Hours unknown as meter quit sometime back. Includes 11' backhoe, dirt bucket...

Thanks for the replys. That $369 price is a little less than local EC dealer. As I remember, something over $400 plus shipping plus local 8% or so tax. I removed and got tip welded on. We'll see how it lasts.

Anyone have a source for discount 853 muffler assembly ? Working in woods, I finally broke off exhaust tip, Looks like it was about to rust off anyway. Bobcat wants $500 (MOL) for a new one.

Pstone, thanks for the thoughts but yer numbers just don't work. I am fortunate to be referred by a local gravel yard. I get $250/load for spreading...more than 2 loads and I can negotiate. Your #'s look "right", but it just doesn't work as you envision. Here's the "real world", Customer calls...

OK, here's some hints. Disconnect fuel line from "bulb", this gives you some extra slack...tie a string around it so you don't lose it. Push rubber tube up thru new black rubber fitting, flush w/top. Push angled fuel line fitting HALF WAY ONLY into top of new black rubber fitting... Now, install...

Acts like it ran outta fuel. I disconnected fuel like at primer bulb and blew in hose. no resistance from fuel in tank although tank is almost full. I know I drew vacuum as it was like sucking on an empty Coke bottle. Vacuum ceased when I loosened tank fill cap. To finish job and load up...

I changed out the spool seals with pump in place. No way would I try to remove pump. Hardest part is correct order and direction of seals and springs. I took spools to dealer and parts man stacked parts in order. A week later I had to re-do one spool as I blew out seals. I was spreading stone...

KSsteve, that sounds like a heck of a deal. You got ins to dig underground for $525/yr?

The insurance is the $26 (waiver/ins) add on. Usually ins is around 15% of rental price. amen on the "working for $45/hr...not intentionally" I've done it but as we say in the South, "I didn't set out to..."

I often hear homeowners quote a lowball price for a rental and they say "I'll just rent one". Rather than explain, I usually encourge them to do so replying "The're fun and easy to operate". I just called United Rentals. To rent a minimal S-175 is only $185 a day...this is the price people like...
