    Fuel Pump Primer Bulb.

Raise the roll over cage, then there should be two metal plates screwed on top of the fuel tank. One for the fuel gage float/sender and the other one for the fuel line. Mine has four screws holding it on with a 90 degree fitting in the middle of the plate. Remove the 4 screws and life the...

    Fuel Pump Primer Bulb.

Take a volt meter set to measure 20vdc, connect the positive lead to the top of a glow plug, negative lead to ground, energize your glow plug circuit and read the voltage that is on the meter. It should be close to your battery voltage while energizing the circuit. I'm like you I don't think...

Down pressure after shutdown. I noticed my Bobcat 773C creates its own down pressure whenever it's shutdown

I had this happen on my 843 back in 2007. https://www.skidsteerforum.com/threads/843-raised-up-on-its-own.8530/#post-8548 I just blamed it on air after a hose change on one of the cylinders.

    I need a hydraulic fitting.

What Tazza has posted is spot on. What you are dealing with from the pictures you posted are different sealing surface angles. The old one's sealing surface is 37.5 degree (old military std) and the new one is 45 degree. The seal that Tazza is referring to will mate to differences between the...

    843 Bobcat Perkins Question

I'm in Versailles Kentucky. My 4-154 is a 200 series. Since ours are pretty close together serial number wise I would assume yours is too but they only way to be sure would be get the engine serial number and have a Perkins distributor verify that. I doubt that Bobcat would use two different...

    Fuel Pump Primer Bulb.

You can test them without pulling them out. Disconnect wire from the top and use an ohm meter to test for continuity. A good glow plug will have very low resistance. A bad one will read open. Place your positive lead to the post the wire connects and your black lead to the body of the glow...

    843 Bobcat Perkins Question

jb8775 It would seem to me that the 5 psi at idle and the 12-17 psi would be enough to put out the oil light. Are you sure you got the correct oil sending unit? Or maybe the port that the sending unit is in is blocked not allowing the pressure to get to the pressure switch. Removing the wire...

Removing a Bobcat 843 Hydraulic Reservoir

Well after reading through a number of 843 repair threads and some of the great pictures in those it looks like the best bet is to remove the engine and fan shroud. From those pictures it appears that the oil tank may be removed out the back of the machine. What do you guys think?

Removing a Bobcat 843 Hydraulic Reservoir

I have a Bobcat 843 that has a cracked hydraulic reservoir. I was hoping someone could share any tips on removing the reservoir. It seems to be packed in pretty tight under the left frame well. Wondering if anyone has repaired a crack on a metal Hydraulic Reservoir while it is still installed...

    843B Oil Drain Hose

On my 843 the hose connects to a fitting threaded into the drain port of the oil pan. The hose has a B-nut on both ends, one plugged and other connected to that fitting. Not sure if your 843B is different or not but you should be able to loosen the B-nut at that fitting and remove the hose...

    Hydraulic Oil

I know this question has been asked many times before and I have searched it a number of times. It concerns hydraulic oil used in our machines: Bobcat wants us to use their Black Gold and manuals state we can use engine oil when we can't get the Black Gold. I have used both and am not...

    843 hydraulic leak problem

Jeff & Tazza, I'm sure your both right. I will take the cylinder off the machine to do it properly. After I got it started again, its defenintly leaking from the line itself. Its not where the line is brazed into the cylinder but in the middle of the line itself. This line runs from the...

843 Raised Up on its own!

Thanks Jeff & Tazza, I did get my machine back down but had to lift up on the bucket with a tractor to get it back over center. I ended up loosening up the Bnuts on the tilt cylinder and let the weight of the machine retract it back. Air sure does some strange things in a hydralulic system...
