I didn't use the hot wire going to alternator from battery. Used one of the wires that comes off alternator to the electrical system. Check it with meter or test light to see which one is hot with key on and not with key off.

I wired from alternator one of the wires turns off with ignition switch. Forgot to look at inline fuse but I think I used a 15 amp. I’ve checked the wires many times to see if it gets warm while running and it never has. Probably runs 300 hours with this setup.

Yes it does turn on with switch. I don't remember fuse size but I'll look at it tomorrow morning and let you know.

I had the same problem with my 873 and could never run the problem down short of replacing the wiring harness. I ran a fused wire off of alternator that only gets power when switch is on and this provided power to fuel solenoid and solved the problem. Not the perfect solution but has worked...

I have Loegering Trail Blazers metal tracks that I use on my 873G. They are 187.5" long and yes you will need spacers I think I have 2" spacers but that was over 20 years ago I put them on so not positive on that. Machine is a beast with them on and will go about anywhere.

Any suggestions on replacing drive motor on Bobcat LT 313 trencher. It leaks and dealer told me it needs new motor which are real expense brand new from Bobcat. Bobcat part # 7116831. Does anyone know of company that rebuilds them or salvage yard that might have used motor.
