can I roll a 1830 on to a trailer (not running)

Is there a way to free up the wheels so I can roll a unit that is not running on to a trailer?

so the 1830 runs the drive wheels on a hydraulic servo unit? Not like the old clutch type? So the wheels will not turn without the unit running.

Seriously? I for one work, so i don't get to jump online to see what's going on as often as i'd like.
Now, your question. If it's hydrostatic drive, generally it will not roll. For it to roll you will need to remove the hoses to the motor and disengage the park brake, then it will roll. When the motors are full of fluid, they will not turn without a fight. open the lines and the oil will be pushed out, but you need to keep it clean.
Times i get a dead machine i use brute force. If you have a tilt tray truck or whatever flat bed you use, spray water and deterent on it and pull/push it on.

Its not practical to get the wheels to turn freely. Best thing would be to carefully skid the machine on a trailer, or much better, find a loader with pallet forks and lift it. An 1830 would be at or less than 4,000 lbs.

Just like a skid steer machine is unique to what it can accomplish, so is the equipment that is required to move it when it no longer runs. PAY a tow truck driver to do this for you. I usually pay less than $75 to make that problem someone else's problem. This is the NORMAL way to deal with this problem. Use your head & try to be less impatient!
