Drive gear misaligned

I just bought a used t200 from a dealer. But when I got it home and started using is some something seemed a little wrong. the right track isn't wearing on the inside like the left. Turns out the drive gear isn't properly aligned. It is completely offset from the rear idler to the outside. Looks like it has been this way for awhile, as the inside of the idlers and the outboard bogies are worn on the side. How do I realign the drivegear? it needs to move inboard about 1 inch. What caused this? I do not have a MX manual yet so I don't want to just tear into something blindly.

I have a manual and I will look at it when I get a chance and report back. I do think that you may have to buy some new idlers and rollers. The only way I can think of them being off is if the bearings are out in the idler???

The idlers are where they are supposed to be. But the right drive gear is about 1 inch further to the outside on the right than the left.

Could the gear have been put on backwards?
Surly when they put it on they noticed it was that far out!

One would think they would notice. But took me quite a few looks to realize what was different. But I'm not the mechanic. The drive gears have about 300 hours on them The right obviously has weird wead patterns. I've only had it for about 15 hrs.

I have seen this one before. There are two different motors and two different offset sprockets that will fit on that loader.By the sound of it it has a new motor and a older style sprocket?

That is quite possible. Both motors have been replaced with the newer style. I bought this particular machine because it has all of the service records. I will probably take it in tomorrow morning to see what they say. Any idea what would cause a machine to hop? It's fine when moving brush, but when I need to push hard into a pile or dig it surges and jumps really bad. I finally have to let go of both controls or my head will pop off my neck. the tracks are not ratcheting.

I'm sorry...I didn't realize you were talking about the sprocket. Yeah, there is no adjustment for the sprocket. As far as machine hop goes...mine is the same way. I think mine has more to do with the control sticks being very sensitive and lots of traction. My machine will start bucking and then it seems as if my arms and hands get in the bucking motion which worsens the machine bucking. Try resting your arms on the arm rest thing you pull down over your head and being very carefull with the sticks. You will get the hang of it with more seat time.

Well, I figured out the surging problem. It had been just fine the first 10 hrs I had it. The left control shock had backed out and was just hanging. Also the hyd filter was loose enough that it was leaking. Fixed both and no surging. nice and smooth again. I have been running Deere and Case and never had problems operating them. Smoother when all the parts are connected. As for the sprocket, Yup, it was the wrong one. The shop that had done the work was a little embarrassed. but they were great about it. Replaced the sprocket, idlers and the rollers that were bad. No charge. Also fixed a leak in the AC and checked the timing belt, greased and lubed everything. Good as new. Definitely earned my return business. Stand behind the work they do.

Have seen the support that holds the track frame to the machine get bent on T200's a few times which causes the tracks to wear on one side , it is a big job changing it , see if the problem stops now that you got the right sprocket on there or if the wear continues as you might have another problem ----I would have to think that some damage would have occurred to the tracks from running the wrong spocket , do you see crackes in the rubber around the steel cleats that are inpregenated in the tracks ------also feel that Bobcat should have given the new style spocket with the new style travel motor as I have thrown away so many good spockets beacuse of travel motor change out , and it's like you are pentalized for their upgrades
