first of everyone let me thank you so much for all the help that y'all have given me indirectly. I have use this forum and learn so much I am already indebted to you all. Thank you so much already! This forum has been a key to help me troubleshoot and diagnose several issues I have already had and for that I thank you greatly. I haven't occurring issue now with a hydraulic line. There is a fitting on my Bobcat 763 yr model 1997 bought brand new that I am experiencing. The hose is a high pressure line on the left side of the motor if you're looking at the hydrostatic pump from the bucket when the cab is up. It is a big fitting and attaches on a housing to the left hand side of the pump underneath the cab I'm sure you are familiar with the pump I'm talking about. It looks to be a main feed line on the aux. It only leaks when under pressure. Running its fine. I have replaced the o-ring on the fitting already and that has not fixed the leak. It did slow the leak down drastically from a squirt to a drip but it is still dripping a good bit. it is not acting like it has ever been crossed rated as the fitting itself does on with easeby hand. I first replaced with anon Bobcat part from a parts store that did not fix I went to Bobcat and got the actual offering still did not fix I have inspected the fitting itself and it does not look cracked or worn. I have inspected the housing best I can and I do not see an area that is bad or damaged. Is this a common problem? I cannot find anything that directly references this issue. I was up until 3 a.m. Freaking out that something more serious might be wrong. I have been researching to my wits end and found nothing. I leave it into the hands of the almighty forum to help me diagnose this issue and for that I thank you for your time already. is there anyway that I can use Teflon tape closest to the overhang being careful not to get any type into the system or close to it that it can stop this leak at least temporarily until I can figure it out? Is there a better sealant?? I don't want to use JB Weld. my thoughts are is to replace with another a ring that I purchased from Bobcat in case it was wrong if that doesn't fix it try the Teflon idea and if that doesn't fix it try a new fitting and new o-ring. the house itself is fine the fitting for the hose that attaches to the other fitting is fine its only leaking where the pump housing me this fitting with the o-ring. HELP PLEASE!! thank you all once again for taking the time to read this post and reply!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

O-Ring * NOT OVERHANG.... sorry talk to text is testy on this phone. (I replaced the o-ring on the fitting and still leaking)

THANK YOU ANT... I will try and replace the fitting even tho im a cheap b@$t@rd and trying to squeak by w the cheap o rings. Lol has anyone experienced the housing that might still leak even after a new fitting/ oring?? why did they make the housing out of aluminum? Heat transfer? You think durability still would be better? Then again I don't know... I'm pretty sure the machine is before they got bought out...it has been an AWESOME piece of equipment and I wouldnt think twice about getting another early model.

Can't see it from here is it leaking from the fitting with the oring or where it threads into the housing on steal to aluminum you could try some antiseze if it the fitting you could take it to your local hydro shop

Yes...it is leaking out beetween the oring and housing.... I'm assuming the housing is made of aluminum because it sure as hell looks like it.

sorry I didn't reply sooner I was on the phone with perimeter Bobcat or Bobcat of Atlanta trying to price the fitting but the guy isn't for sure which fitting it is even though I've described it as best I can he is calling skipper right now to confirm. Skipper is a local mechanic that works on Bobcats in our area. He might have replaced a metal tube that leads to that fitting and the guy perimeter is confused because now there is a hose there. he is calling skipper now to confirm. Thank you so much for your time.

I believe the housing you're talking about is the hydraulic pump.

this picture looks really familiar I believe that this is the pump were talking about. For whatever reason Atlanta Bobcat said that that was a valve body which it looks like a pump to me. they have not called me back yet I am still waiting for their call. Is it common to have a leak and not be able to see any damage?

now looking at the photos and seeing the Drive bars ...yes this is what I am talking about!! so for 250 I can get one of these pumps? Is it better to try to get one with a little more flow? I read through the thread that you posted thank you so much. I am trying to do this on the cheap but with the machine down I'm losing money.

Unfortunately these pump housings are easily cracked if the port fitting is over tightened. There was another post I read where a guy cracked his and then cracked the replacement pump before asking how to install the fitting correctly.
The first reaction most people have when they see a leak is to just tighten the nut but it doesn't take much to do damage on these aluminum pumps.
The threaded part of the fitting is screwed in hand tight, the nut is turned in until resistance is felt and then you tighten the nut 1 wrench flat tighter.

Ok...I wonder if it was previous? It was squirting and was tight so I doubt I did it but who knows I get paid to tear chit up! (Demo) I REALLY appreciate you guys. I really hope is not the pump. Please pray for me!!!

Will pray for you while I learn too but sometimes it costs to learn sounds like OM just saved you from another costly mistake

Here's how the service manual says it. Most people don't have a way to tighten the fittings with a torque wrench so I normally just explain the 1 flat tighter way.

Thank you sir! are there any tips tricks hints advice for my current situation?
I am running down to Bobcat now to get the fitting... Its only 15 bucks! But they want $947 for the gear pump ( insert trombone flattening out sound here- wah wahhhhhh) even if I have to JB weld it and pull off a few jobs just replace the pump and fitting in all I will do it.
