Hello all. I have an 863 that I am having issues keeping it running. After it runs for a little bit, it barely wants to spin, turn, move, anything. I was moving a load of shot rock and i would have to stop every 5 feet and let it idle back up. If it turn it off and let it sit for 3-4 minutes it will run normal for about 5 minutes and start doing the same thing. Hydro fluid is full, fuel is half tank. Any ideas where to start diagnosis? I dont even know where to begin. I do have to add i ran it about 3 hours before it started doing this, and it was 85 degrees today. Thanks

I'd suspect fuel pickup tube is cracked, put more fuel in and see if it works better. Access is less than ideal, but can be done. Lift the cab, it is behind the pumps under the engine. There are two lines going to the tank, one is the pickup, the other is a return hose. Get the right one before you remove it by getting someone to wiggle the hose for you.
Also, change the fuel filter.

Thank you so much. I usually just need a jumping off point. I will start here and see what that does for me.

I will agree the pick tube is the likely cause. On dutez engines, check your oil level. I have seen a couple transfer pump leak fuel into the crankcase. This cause oil level to rise and starve the engine for fuel.

First thing first. Drain your fuel filter into a clean pan to see if you have water or a lot of crud. If you find this. Change the filter. Add fuel treatment. Then run it and drain the filter twice daily until the fuel looks good. If your problem continues, you may have to drain the tank.

It is at my house so i fill it with a can and it started having issues after i put fuel in it. Maybe there was something wrong with that load of fuel.
