Case 70xt won't move, bucket works fine

Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Bucket works fine, simply won't go forward or backward. Engine does not sound loaded when attempting to move. My thoughts are possibly the pump drive coupling near the flywheel or could this be something related to the brake valve solenoid? There has also been a packrat making himself at home and some chewing going on. But I don't see any wires chewed in the area of the brake solenoid. Any help is appreciated. Oh, and how can I make this d#mn thing roll so I can load it on a trailer???

Welcome to the Forum, I see this is your first post. For starters, you may want to repost this in the Case section, so that the Case experts can see it.
I am not sure about the construction of your machine, but on late model Bobcats, all of the pumps are coupled together end to end, with the loader/aux pump at the far end. If your machine is built like that, you can rule out a drive issue.
When you go to move the machine, does it labour the engine when you push the sticks? If so, you may be on to something with the park brake being stuck on. Can you remove the solenoid and it's stem to manually release the brake? If not, you may be able to jury rig a jumper to it to get some power to release it temporarily, and at least get it loaded.
As for loading it on a trailer, if all else fails, without some degree of disassembly (eg. removing hydraulic lines from the drive motors, or removing the drive motors), it is a tug of war with a winch or a bigger piece of equipment.

that is a relatively new machine , does it have joysticks or levers for travel? I would suspect the rat but not the brake since the engine does not labor.

Ooops, overlooked the fact that the motor is not stressed. I concur with Jerry - sounds like that rats were at work. FYI - my neighbour's S185 suffered the same fate a couple of years ago.
OldMachinist posted a "recipe" for a rat repelant mixture a year or so ago. Try doing a search if interested.

Jerry/SR, thanks for the replies. First, it does have the joysticks. Second, no engine laboring. I thought I remembered reading that if the brake solenoid is not functioning properly it may not allow the drive motors to switch out of "neutral", thus never allowing the motor the opportunity to "labor". I may have dreamed this tho. And I agree the rat is a prime suspect but what could be chewed that would cause this to happen? Thanks again.
