Conversion Couplers - Flat Face to ISO 7241-A (Safeway)

I have job boring some post holes this weekend. As I have not gotten around to building an auger drive unit yet, I am renting one from the local dealer (the guy who I am doing the job for is picking up the rental bill, so it is a win-win in my books - lol). As I am a certified cheap-a$$, my machine has your standard ag couplers on it - way more cost effective than the flat face type. I stopped by the dealer on the way home last night to have a look at the auger unit to discern the hose ends and see what I needed to plug it into my machine.
After looking at the auger, my parts guy says “hey, I have something that you may be interested in”, heads to the back of the stock room and comes back with a one-piece female ag to male FF conversion coupling. He has no idea where it came from, what the Bobcat part number is, or what it is even worth. He also doesn't have the mating female FF to male ag coupler. (Looking at it, I am sure that it has a 3-figure (CDN $'s) price tag, but he wants to get rid of it, so I think it is going to be one of those “make an offer” deals.)
It has a Faster part number on it: “FFI12...M 02B” . I have been through the Faster website and catalogs, but can find no reference to this part or its mate. I am thinking that it is either a part made strictly for Bobcat or they simply don't make it any more.
Anybody else heard of or seen such a thing? Any ideas of where the female FF to male ag coupler could be found?

Hi, sorry I don't have an immediate answer to your question. Another solution for the immediate, is one I am sure you thought of, but you could get another set of Ag couplers and temporarily install them on the rental unit and then when you are done, put the flat faced couplers back on. Good luck,

Yup, that is plan A, and the way that I will be going for now.
Already have the Ag couplers, just waiting for the -12 ORB Female to -8 NPT Male adapters to arrive at my buddy's hydraulic shop.
Just would be kind of neat to find the mate to this conversion coupler. No wrenches / mess!!

I would say it is definitely factory built, it is too short to be two couplers threaded together. The Faster part number on it is definitely a unique one, it doesn't line up with any number in their current catalogue.

Found something. Looks like Safeway makes them too.
The lower picture is the one that I have, just need the upper one.

I never would have thought there would be enough of a call for them, apparently there was enough to do a run of them.
I dread to think of how much they would want for them as they don't seem to be popular.

they are called adapters to go from old to new, should be in the drawer at dealer. rental dude probally has a set guarntee svc dept has them, might not lend them.though

So, no, they are not exactly cheap, but it you compare it to owning multiple attachments all with FF couplers, there is a savings. I like the fact that it makes the conversion process plug & play.

I have a set from a different company, try Intergrated Technologies , I have had them for seems like 20 years , they come in very usefull for me hooking up flow / pressure meters to different machines , they were pricey when I got them , seems to remember close to $200 for a set ---------------- you can do the same thing , use a #12 (3/4”) male /male JIC union , this fitting has the same threads as boss oring , and there is a groove for the oring to sit in , put a #12 oring on each side of the union , get a set of new and a set of old quick couplers in #12 oring , screw an old style and the new style fittings to each end ------------- it would cost a few bucks to put that together and it would be easy to change the attachments quick coupler
