my radiator has a pinhole in it which after about 5 min of run time starts to spew heavy. will replacing the radiator fix the problem or is it something more like a clog somewhere. engine seems really hot. i replaced the water pump 2 months a go so im sure that is fine. help...

DUDE PULL RAD SEND TO LOCAL SHOP.have repaired 35 bucks, replace stat install new coolant, before putting (NEW )rad cap on a coulpe of quick checks? 1 check for presence of combustion gas in cooling sys. (napa block test kit consits of bottle of fluid (blue) that will turn green or yellow if combustion gas prenset. instuuctions included. 2 put rad press tester on fill neck. if climbs my concerns being the 7753 eng never even got warm so lets back up . issue being overheat; rad leaking? forget all that. get rad fixed check cooling belt and angle drive for proper operation, this is probally issue. fan dont work eng overheats weak link goes, fan drive spring loaded tension. should snap back, easy fix new arm spring etc while you are there change out the 90 w in angle drive often neglected? stupid check i use at full throttle should blow hat off head at louvers. if not fan aint working.

I have to agree here too, the cooling system needs to be right. The Kubota heads are prone to cracks from thermal stress. The spewing out coolant could be from when the thermostat opens up, its then that conant really starts moving through the radiator. Another cause is exhaust gases from a bad head gasket or cracked head.

another thought on this is are you using proper coolant mixture straight aintt good or better. wiil not pull heat off block, i cannot emphaise how important this is. straight will smoke an eng just as quick as dust
